Why Celebrating The Small Wins Is Big For Mental Health In 2021

We’re almost mid-year… can you believe it? That’s 40% of the way through 2021. There’s been a lot happening lately, but today we’re focusing on celebrating the small wins …and sharing some exciting news!

Changing times come with added pressures financially, personally, and in our business and professional lives. If you’ve been feeling a little “blah” lately – you’re not alone! Writer Adam Grant recently wrote about a mental state called ‘languishing’, the neglected middle child of mental health can dull your motivation and focus — and it may be the dominant emotion of 2021.

The first step toward better well-being is to focus on the small goals. From those moments of connection to finding new challenges or taking time to wind back and focus on your little paint pot of joy. The solution? Focus on the small wins – and developing ‘flow’ through the small things that you find interesting or meaningful every day.

With the Govt announcing big changes for default funds, it’s a great opportunity to check in and make sure your current provider still works for you.

Five default KiwiSaver fund providers are being dropped due to their contractual non-performance in failing to move members out of the ‘temporary’ default funds costing these KiwiSaver members. ANZ, ASB, Fisher Funds, AMP and Mercer will no longer default KiwiSaver providers and any members still in these funds in December 2021 will be moved out.
